The Waterlase iPlus laser<\/h2>\n

Waterlase iPlus technology uses air, water and concentrated light to generate gentle yet powerful energy waves in a tooth’s root canals to help remove bacteria and other contaminants from infected teeth.<\/p>\n

Thorough cleaning of a tooth’s root canals is essential to the success of a root canal treatment. The Waterlase iPlus laser can perform this action without the need for the endodontist to use the heavy-gauge manual or rotary instruments typically used. In this way, cleaning and disinfection of the canals of an infected tooth can be carried out while respecting the natural anatomy of the tooth and being minimally invasive, which can contribute to making the treated tooth more resistant to fracture.<\/p>\n

3D scanning (TVFC)<\/h2>\n

Root canals can have many variations and configurations, making your tooth unique. In recent years, with the advancement of 3D imaging technology, this tool has become invaluable to the endodontist.<\/p>\n

Among other things, 3D imaging technology enables the endodontist to visualize whether an infection is present and, above all, to assess the complexity of the treatment required to remedy it.<\/p>\n

At Clinique Endodontie Mont\u00e9r\u00e9gie, we have a machine with unrivalled resolution, designed specifically to help us identify the specific anatomical features of teeth with endodontic pathologies. The endodontist is therefore able to assess the number of canals, curvatures and ramifications present in your tooth before starting treatment. He’ll be able to explain the various difficulties he may encounter during treatment and better assess the chances of success, so you can make the best decision for your situation.<\/p>\n

Although your dentist may have already taken a 3D image of your mouth as part of an examination during a dental hygiene visit, their equipment, while very versatile in allowing a multitude of applications, often doesn’t offer the optimal resolution needed to analyze a tooth’s root canal system. A new high-resolution 3D scan should therefore be taken at our clinic.<\/p>\n
