During root canal therapy, the endodontist disinfects the entire root canal system, treating all canals down to the root tip. It is imperative to locate and treat all canals present to minimize future complications. Afterwards, obturating material is placed in the canals to prevent recontamination.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>\nAftercare<\/h2>\n<p>Once endodontic treatment has been completed, the endodontist will place a temporary restoration on the tooth to allow your dentist access to the pulp chamber.
