Our technologies
GentleWave
GentleWave technology is the result of extensive research into fluid dynamics.
It enables more conservative root canal treatments, preserving more tooth structure while achieving optimal disinfection, even in cases with root canal ramifications that cannot be reached with traditional methods.
Endodontie Montérégie is proud to be the 2nd clinic in Quebec to routinely use Gentlewave technology to make root canal treatment faster, more effective, pain-free and, above all, uncompromising.
The Waterlase iPlus laser
Waterlase iPlus technology uses air, water and concentrated light to generate gentle yet powerful energy waves in a tooth’s root canals to help remove bacteria and other contaminants from infected teeth.
Thorough cleaning of a tooth’s root canals is essential to the success of a root canal treatment. The Waterlase iPlus laser can perform this action without the need for the endodontist to use the heavy-gauge manual or rotary instruments typically used. In this way, cleaning and disinfection of the canals of an infected tooth can be carried out while respecting the natural anatomy of the tooth and being minimally invasive, which can contribute to making the treated tooth more resistant to fracture.
This technology enables us to improve the efficiency of our services and enhance the comfort of the patients who receive our endodontic care.
Endodontie Montérégie is proud to be among the first to integrate this technological advance into an endodontic practice in Quebec.

3D scanning (TVFC)
Root canals can have many variations and configurations, making your tooth unique. In recent years, with the advancement of 3D imaging technology, this tool has become invaluable to the endodontist.
Among other things, 3D imaging technology enables the endodontist to visualize whether an infection is present and, above all, to assess the complexity of the treatment required to remedy it.
At Clinique Endodontie Montérégie, we have a machine with unrivalled resolution, designed specifically to help us identify the specific anatomical features of teeth with endodontic pathologies. The endodontist is therefore able to assess the number of canals, curvatures and ramifications present in your tooth before starting treatment. He’ll be able to explain the various difficulties he may encounter during treatment and better assess the chances of success, so you can make the best decision for your situation.
Although your dentist may have already taken a 3D image of your mouth as part of an examination during a dental hygiene visit, their equipment, while very versatile in allowing a multitude of applications, often doesn’t offer the optimal resolution needed to analyze a tooth’s root canal system. A new high-resolution 3D scan should therefore be taken at our clinic.
3D imaging is usually recommended for:
Teeth that have already undergone root canal treatment
When your dentist suspects the presence of root resorption
To identify the source of pain that is difficult to localize
Before using GentleWave technology
Operating microscope
Specialized equipment, used for all treatments, that enables extreme procedural precision and improves detection of root canal micro-anatomy that might otherwise be overlooked. The operating microscope enables the endodontist to perform your root canal treatment under high magnification (up to 30X), thus increasing treatment predictability.
Digital X-ray sensor
Provides outstanding intra-oral X-ray images with less radiation.
